Resting and Waiting

Rest vs. wait. These two words bring two completely different scenarios to my mind.

Rest = I am in the mountains... breathing in cool air... amidst a beautiful display of autumn leaves... at peace...

Wait = I am tapping my fingers on the table... anxious to find out what will come... and when will it come...

I was reading Psalm 62 this morning, and God (once again) rocked my world. I have read NIV most of my life, which begins the chapter with ...

My soul finds rest in God alone

So imagine my surprise as I open my ESV Bible (which, by the way, is pink... awesome) and I read...

For God alone my soul waits in silence

WHAT?!?!

God, are you saying that I am to rest while I am waiting?! Wait for you while I am resting!?

Today, Lord, as I wait for you to answer, I will trust, and I will rest.

I love this, Laura Susan. And I have a hot pink ESV also - it rocks!
