Masters

So I got lucky again this year and got a call on Tuesday with an offer for a free ticket to the practice round on Wednesday. I didn't even hesitate to say yes. Considering work is kind of slow this week I just decided to take the day off. I've only been to the Masters 4 times I think. Twice in college and also last year. So while living in Augusta I'm 2 for 2.

Unfortunately Laura Susan hasn't been able to come with me either year. I really want to go and experience it with her. I know that she would really enjoy it. It would be so much fun to be in such a beautiful place with my beautiful bride. I think next year we will sign up to try to get our own practice round tickets.

I'm not a really huge golf fan. I love to play, even though I'm not good. I just really love going to the Augusta National. Everything is so beautiful. I don't really care about seeing all the big players. I like watching everyone. Standing behind a teebox and watching them drive the ball is amazing. I can only dream about hitting it as far or straight as they do. We followed Luke Donald for a while at the Par 3 tournament. He just missed a hole in one on #5 I think. I also love their sandwiches. The egg salad is my favorite. I tried the pimento cheese and fried chicken this year but wasn't impressed. I wish they had chicken salad and I'm pretty surprised that they don't, that seems like a southern classic.

Right now I'm at work trying to keep up with the live scoring on the Master's website. Not too exciting, it only updates like every 10 min. We really need a tv here.

Aaron and I got to go to the practice round a couple years ago and it was raining and still beautiful. We hope we can go back. And those sandwiches do rock. So glad you got to go and had fun.
